Why do we want to help kids?
Steve-O's vision and our mission for this foundation is to help Michiana children have opportunites to be involved in sports and athletics regardless of physical, mental and financial barriers. Steve taught high school health and PE for 40 years while also coaching high school swimming. This is where he became passionate and inspired by his many amazing students and athletes with special needs. When asked what he'd like to do with funds raised by the foundation, he didn't hesitate to say he wanted to help the kids who were such an inspiration to him!
Where do our funds raised go?
The foundation now offers scholarships to Michiana special needs residents so they may participate in recreational activities such as Reins of Life, Camp Millhouse, SOLO , Challenger Little League and other Michiana recreational activities. Our first launch of applications are due April 30th, 2015. Please click on tab above to download an application and for more details.
We've also supported these great organizations: Challenger Little League, Reins of Life, SOLO, Freedom Park in Plymouth, Elkhart Down Syndrome Advocacy Group, Logan's Center and Michiana Down Syndrome Advocacy Group.
We are always looking to support more wonderful Michiana charities that provide recreational activities and camps to special needs children. Please contact email@example.com if your charity is in need of support.
